Dimension co-led Chai Discovery's seed round and co-founded Coefficient Bio, which Anthropic acquired in April 2026 for about $400 million.

Dassault is assembling that layer by acquisition, while Cheiron is building it natively, turning the evidence, filings and institutional knowledge scattered across a program into a single working picture.
What happened: On July 21, OSTP Director Michael Kratsios released "Science: A New Golden Age," a report calling for hundreds of billions in federal research funding to shift from universities toward industry, with priority on AI, robotics and nuclear energy. Testifying to the House Science Committee the next day, Kratsios said the administration would reduce the government's focus on what he termed life sciences. The report is modelled on Vannevar Bush's 1945 "Science, the Endless Frontier," and reactions in Congress split along party lines.
Why it matters: US life sciences runs on a pipeline in which federally funded basic research feeds industry. An explicit federal tilt away from that category, whatever one's read on the politics, is a long-horizon variable worth tracking for anyone building on the assumption that public research funding keeps flowing at current levels.
